6/18-19/16 - DAY 2/3: VANCOUVER

It was pretty disappointing that as soon as we arrived in Vancouver, it was pouring. This was my first time ever out of America and I was welcomed to Canada with terrible weather :( In result, I didn't want to risk water damage on my brand new camera while walking around. It was the cutest little town and I wish I could have captured my first day instead of huddled under an umbrella. I did get the chance to carry around my camera once we went to dinner because it stopped raining, so, I combined my first two days.

In case ya didn't know, the drinking age for Canada is 19 and yo girl is 19 therefore it is 100005% legal for ya girl to consume alcohol. Although I took a vow from alcohol this summer, it was inevitable that I had to take advantage of this opportunity so our first night I bought the cutest yummiest little cocktail. And as much as I hate to social drink, this drink was called the Social Palmer and it was made with absolute raspberry vodka, iced tea, raspberry chunks and bellini slush. A sissy drink for a sissy lil one.

The next morning we woke up early to get an early start and go to Capilano Park, the District of North Vancouver's hottest tourist attraction. It holds a 460 foot long bridge suspension bridge crossing the Capilano River, 230 feet in the air. And it was veeerry freaky.

I had no prior knowledge of Canada except syrup, maple leaves and moose, but I quickly learned how significant totem poles were to Canada after running into one on every corner.

YEAH IT WAS SCKURY I KNOW

It was a big park so it also included a giant treehouse that made Tarzan's treehouse at Disney look like a toy treehouse. It was endless and SO high.

Once we left Capilano, we took a gondola, (not the Venetian banana looking boats) but a almost an enclosed ski lift-type thing that took us up to Grouse mountain, aka the Peak of Vancouver, 4,000 ft in the air. It was very overcast so most of the view was covered by clouds, but it was very breathtaking.

We saw a lumberjack show where this dude climbed and was literally doing tricks on these tall ass trees. He was juggling, doing handstands and then he jumped off. The things people do for entertainment. I ALSO SAW BEARS! TWO! They made love and it was precious
