10/17/18: STRIKE Vol IV

I'm so lucky to be a creative and dedicate my life to art, but no one said it was easy. It's very draining and exhausting; you long for perfection, for taking risks; for being unique. I make money as a photographer, as well as it being my major, so other than my paid gigs and my schoolwork, I took a creative break. Sometimes you have to stop trying to get yourself to try harder. That being why this is my first blog post in over six months.

Like always, I can always count on Strike magazine to encourage me to create. This particular shoot that I did for the magazine's Fall edition of 2018, was different than I've ever done, and I think it's what I needed.

The shoot was titled, Us, Androgynous. It portrayed the concept that strong, powerful men can also be beautiful and vulnerable too.

"In a society with increasing equality, personal style is finding a new wholesomeness by balancing both male anxiety has never affected a generation."

A group of talented FSU dance majors played the roles perfectly. It was less posing, more dancing, allowing them to express themselves. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Oh, and did I mention these were at sunrise? Made it even more magical.
